Things You Can Do

Protecting the Mississippi River will require active people from across the entire River region. River Citizens are committed residents who enjoy the blessings of the River and pledge to help protect it. These seven simple actions can add up to big changes for the River.

Together we can make a big difference

We are building a movement of 10,000 River Citizens, people who pledge to take action to protect the Mississippi River. Each plot on the map below represents one River Citizen of many. Whether in arm chairs or wading boots, River Citizens protect the River by speaking up on its behalf and caring for it in simple ways that make a big difference.
