Join Green Interchange for a River Days of Action event on June 10th at their creek restoration site in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, to continue our work. Together, we’ll remove invasive species to help make room for native trees and plants to grow. We’ll also clean up any litter along the creek’s restoration area.
When: June 10, 2024 from 1:30 PM – 4 PM
Where: Meet in the Kroger parking lot at Lacassass Pike & N. Rutherford Blvd.
All necessary tools will be provided. Please bring water, weather-appropriate clothing, gloves, and shovels if you have them, and wear sturdy work boots/shoes.

We aim to reestablish a healthy stream ecosystem and create a green space the entire community can enjoy. To accomplish these goals, we’re removing invasive plants and replacing them with native trees along a section of Garrison Creek. This work helps people, land, water, and wildlife.
The benefits of this project to the community will last many lifetimes.
Green Interchange is a non-profit dedicated to planting trees in the Southeast to create healthy communities and thriving economies now and into the future. Our Garrison Creek project began in 2012, and we have since restored about 4.5 acres of creekside habitat by removing invasive plants and replacing them with native species.
