A team of filmmakers, including Alex Maier and Amy Robin from Wilderness Mindset, captured this epic adventure on film and produced the award-winning documentary, “Greybeard: The Man, The Myth, The Mississippi”. Join us online June 3, 2024 from 7:00-8:30 Central for a 30-minute version of this film and meet Dale and filmmakers Amy and Alex.

Dale Sanders is a multiple Guinness World Record holder. In the summer of 2022, Dale attempted and completed setting another world record, by becoming the oldest person to paddle from source to sea on the Mississippi River. He already held that record when he was 80 years old, but that record had been broken by an 81 year old. At age 87, Dale paddled the whole 2,340 miles of the Mississippi again to take the record back. He achieved his record in 87 days – a day for each year of his life! The documentary features his epic adventure, and explores his secret to maintaining good health late into life.
